Ribfest
2008
August 7-9
Come hungry, leave satisfied...
Ribfest is Community Advocate’s major
fundraising event. Thanks to the support of the people who
attended and the businesses that sponsored, $50,000 was raised
for programs that are targeted to improve the quality of life
for all, but especially to improve the quality of life for
our community individuals with developmental disabilities.
In fact, Ribfest has raised over $835,000 for programs that
stay right here in our community helping people who live in
your neighborhoods, work at your place of employment, and
maybe go to school with your kids.
Ribfest is scheduled for August 7-9, 2008
at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Downtown Kalamazoo.
Plans are just starting for the 2008 event and there are many
ways that you can stay connected to our event and even help
us plan for 2008. In fact, we welcome your comments and opinions.
Here’s how you can help:
Entertainment – We are in the process
of reviewing who should be invited to Kalamazoo to perform.
It’s a daunting task. So, here are the bands that are
within our budget. Email us to let us know who you would like
to see come to Kalamazoo – just to let you know –
we are leaning towards Rare Earth or Santana Original Lead
Singer Gregg Rolie:
The Buckinghams
The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik
Quiet Riot
Rare Earth
Santana Original Lead Singer Gregg
RolieSlaughterStarship starring Mickey Thomas
SurvivorTurtles featuring Flo and Eddie
